Starting off with the glitches- This game has way too many glitches. One player on your team will stop moving and can remain that way for the whole game, or sometimes he will unfreeze a little sooner, this will usually occur at least every other game you play. You can be on one end of the court and your opponent with the ball can be on the other and all of a sudden you get a reach in foul(with NO ONE in site). Also for example pierce could be on one end of the court and pass it all the way down court with none other than pierce retrieving his own pass, which can take realism out of the game.

Game play- the game play is decent the graphics are really good. Getting an assist in the game is nearly impossible which will make the life game play hard to win. Even an ally oop won’t count towards an assist sometimes.

Franchise- Franchise is a little to plain. It would be nice to set ticket prices and even practice on off games, which you can’t do in this game.

The life- The life is fun although really short. You must complete missions such as get 4 assists with PG, or get 3 two point jumpers with PG.

There is also a team progression system that will add points to your profile where you can then buy attribute points, sneakers, tattoos, wrist and head bands.

Overall in my opinion the graphics are in 2009 standards but the game could generally be a lot better. Price wise i wouldn’t pay $[...] for it if I could go back. Id say mostly worth $[...] in order for me to buy again.

I am a big guy – 6′3″ @ 220lbs – and the original ps3 controllers are too small for my hands and feel of cheap plastic anyway. I have been searching for a replacement controller and have found an exceptional one in Nyko’s Zero. It is sturdier and larger than original and makes for more comfortable game play with my oversized mitts. It has full functionality, including tilt-axis, EXCEPT for being able to turn on PS3 remotely; I use the bluetooth bluray remote control for that – problem solved

My one gripe being that its still not big enough This is definitely an adult sized controller, I just have really big hands.

Bottom line: if you have big hands that occasionally get sweaty … this is the controller you need for PS3!

Characters: More Than Just Mario and Friends
The lifeblood of the Super Smash Bros. series has always been the depth of the character lineup that each installment has been able to bring and Brawl not only keeps with tradition, but does it one better. Just as in Super Smash Bros. and Super Smash Bros Melee, players can expect to pit their favorite Nintendo characters against each other in head-to-head and multiplayer battles, but instead of insisting on characters exclusively from the Nintendo universe, Brawl adds variety in the form of superstars Sonic the Hedgehog and Solid Snake from Konami’s Metal Gear franchise. This is a first-time addition and one that will delight veteran players and newbies alike. But these two characters are only a sampling of the new additions to the game’s lineup. The other ten come from classic Nintendo titles and bring the complete lineup of playable characters to a whopping 25. See the full list on combatants below:

The Rules of the Brawl
As in previous releases in the series, Brawl places players within a different, but easy to use fighting system. Players choose a character, select one of the numerous stages–which are levels based in the game worlds represented in Super Smash Bros.– and try to knock their opponents off the screen using a range of standard techniques and combos as well as a variety of special attacks and `Smash Moves’ specific to their chosen character. A Smash Move can only be performed after securing a `Smash Ball.’ These precious items, marked with the Smash Bros. logo, fall randomly and can be used by either player, but they must be cracked open before they can be used. To keep things interesting they can also can be stolen if not used right away, so when a player sees one it must be grabbed quickly and cracked to avoid an unfortunate turn of events.

Also, keeping with the game’s “E” rating and player’s affection for the characters, instead of displaying health bars the game uses a percent system to indicate character status and strength. The more damage done to a character, the higher the percentage and the farther back he/she is knocked back when struck by an opponent.

Many Ways to Play: Multiplayer and Single Player Options
Just as in previous installments of Super Smash Bros. there is fun to be had whether you choose to fight in multiplayer or single player mode, but Brawl again pushes the envelope even further by providing additional ways to play within these areas and the possibility of others added later. Here are just a few of the modes that you can expect to see:

Multiplayer

• Standard Multiplayer Brawl – A standard battle between 2-4 players.
• Special Brawl – Take down your friends in matches which you can customize with as many rules as you would like.
• Tourney – Choose the number of players and rules you want and have at it in a round-robin battle against many foes.
• Online Multiplayer – For the first time play against registered friends or randomly selected opponents from anyplace in the world via a Nintendo Wi-Fi connection.

Single Player

• Training – Start on the path to Brawling like a pro as you learn to string standard moves together into combos.
• Classic – Fight your way through semi-randomly generated battles where each match features an arena or opponent from a particular game series and may feature unique battle conditions.
• Stadium: Target Smash – Practice your aim as you break ten targets within a set time limit.
• “Subspace Emissary” – The world of Smash Bros. is invaded by an entity called the Ancient Minister and his army, called “The Primid. As this villain starts turning characters into trophies to harness their power, declare a peace with your quarrelsome companions and work together to defeat the invaders in an engrossing side-scrolling adventure.

Stay in Control
Because the Super Smash Bros. series has a huge following and an even larger list of characters from the Nintendo catalog, it only makes sense that players may have a preference for a particular Nintendo controller from the era of their favorite game. Because of this the game’s creators have incorporated all four of the major Nintendo controllers into the mix. Whether you prefer the Wii Remote, the Wii Remote with Nunchuck, the Wii Classic Controller or the GameCube Controller it makes no difference. All four are fully compatible with all the features of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, although the handling of each is a little different. Undoubtingly, Nintendo has really showed more muscle within their games for the Wii this past year. With games that really stretched beyond the imagination for fans like Super Mario Galaxy, which re-defined Mario alone in adventures, and the battle smashing action of Super Smash Brothers Brawl that dominated fans hearts all around the worls, Nintendo really shows what it takes to make great video games. But, that also can be said with the Mario Kart series, which finally makes it debut on the Wii. But, following the innovation that Mario Kart DS had from the Nintendo DS wasn’t so easy, largely because it was the first DS handheld title to use the Wi-Fi online gaming to an outrageous excitement for gamers all around the world. Now, it is time for the Wii to take that on and race to the checkered flag.

Mario Kart Wii for the Nintendo Wii, brings in all that fast-paced excitement racers have wanted and even more. The game adds a whole lot of new and exciting features to use. You can now race as many as 12 racers online through the online gaming, and bring the action over the top, and use that skill and excitement on over 40 different tracks: 10 battle tracks and 32 exciting race tracks that are both new and featured from the earlier Mario Kart games like D.K. Jungle Highway and Sherbet Land from Mario Kart 64. The new tracks are also exciting that will have you racing and bouncing on top of mushrooms from the all-new Mushroom Gorge, and have you crusing the shopping malls and racing down fligts of escaltors with the brand new Coconut Mall course, or racing across the tree trunks of the new Maple Leaf Highway. Every single track is great for beginners and die hard Mario Kart fans of all ages.

You can choose to race with the classics like Mario, Yoshi, Bowser and Luigi, and 6 hidden characters to unlock and master like Rosalina from Super Mario Galaxy, Funky Kong and Diddy Kong from Donkey Kong Barrel Blast and even Bowser Bones (the skeleton Bowser boss from New Super Mario Brothers.)

The control is also a bit new here, with the use of the Wii Wheel. The wheel is easy to setup and hooks right onto the Wii remote. You can steer your racers easily through each and every race by turning your wheel left and right, and performing nifty stunts like a wheelie or a 360 on a jump. While the control with the Wii Wheel takes a lot to get used to for veterans, there are others ways to control the game. Like Super Smash Brothers Brawl, gamers can also use the Wii & nunchuck controls, or the classic controller and even the Nintendo Gamecube controller, so veterans can feel more comfortable in anyway they want to race. The graphics here are also well-designed, by bringing new excitement in restoring the classic courses, and a lot of great surprising new features that are the delight to anyone who loves the Mario Kart games.

All in all, Mario Kart Wii is definitely one of the best games I’ve ever enjoyed for the Nintendo Wii. I absolutely loved the need for plumber speed, and it shows in each and every race. This is definitely a must buy for your Wii video game library, that is sure to be a thrilling race and not even close to wiping out anytime soon. So start your Wii-motes, because the race is not ever going to stop.
