This is a great DVD. Lot of episodes that are not only fascinating, but is doing very good value for money. This goes behind the scenes and shows the day to and from listening to what is happening at the zoo in Toronto. As I live in Australia, it is also exciting to see, are some of our mammals there too! Anyone with a weakness for something zootastic should invest in any event – you will not regret.

I will not go into details because, as other people have other opinions, did a much better job. I just want to say that the box is a good buy in the first place, since the 12 eps for $ 45, in which a normal anime DVD Wish 3-4 epsodes for 25 Then theres the anime. It's … wonderful, for lack of a better word. This is a romantic comedy, and one of the best examples of this kind I have ever seen. If you are concerned about the misunderstandings sitcomwhole plot, do not worry, it does not work that way. It starts with a lot of misunderstandings and Love Hina similar theme, but as more becomes increasingly difficult. The focus has shifted to the competition between Godai and Mitaka. And while the misunderstandings "that have happened at the end of the show, the tone is completely different and avoids a formulaic rehash of what came before. This anime is excellent, one of the few in which I gave in and bought the DVD. Thedubs sound are fine for me, but I usually watch subbed so I dub critics leave to someone else. The subtitling is excellent. The video quality is very good. It 'absolutely worth anime is great, the DVDs are of high quality. All boxes are in any case is worth.
Well, if you know of a connection Viz, when the next exit?

Maison Ikkoku – Collector’s Box Vol. 3 Overview

In this latest installment of Maison Ikkoku, the competition for Kyoko is heating up between Godai and Coach Mitaka…at the same time Kozue makes here move for Godai to the Kyoko’s dismay. One misunderstanding leads another; the other tenants don’t make life any easier. When Godai’s grandmother pays a visit to Maison Ikkoku, Godai’s life gets even more shaken up!

Maison Ikkoku – Collector’s Box Vol. 3 Specifications

Autumn comes to the rundown rooming house of the title, bringing not elegiac poetry, but confusion, misunderstanding, and chaos–just like every other season. Relatives play unusually important roles in the third collection of Rumiko Takahashi’s popular romantic comedy. Godai’s wizened grandmother arrives for a visit and immediately begins meddling in his relationships with Kyoko and Kozue. Kyoko is haunted by memories of her late husband when she receives the diary he kept during his student years, and when Soichiro, the dog they once owned together, runs away. To everyone’s surprise, the long-lost husband of the hard-drinking Mrs. Ichinose suddenly appears to attend a school festival with their son, Kentaro. An unemployed little blob of a man, he manages to come through at the last minute. But after seeing his parents together, Kentaro must be hoping he got some recessive genes.

The rest of the stories unfold with the special mixture of insanity and sentiment that’s made Maison Ikoku a long-running favorite in Japan and America. A series of miscommunications causes Godai to move out and find a supposedly vacant room over a pachinko parlor, with disastrous results. If the other tenants would mind their own business, life would go much more smoothly at Maison Ikoku. But if the other tenants could mind their own business, they wouldn’t be living there. (Unrated, suitable for ages 13 and older: risqué humor, brief nudity, alcohol and tobacco use, slapstick violence) –Charles Solomon

This season was so fresh and new in the premise that I hung in every episode. It 'very funny from first to last episode. The premise is that travelers (American Gypsies or Roma itself) replacement for people who are in a car accident. They hid the body and then rolled into a southern city of medium size like the people. Since nobody in town knew them, were able to deduct them. The husband and the father was a corporateLawyer and his wife was perfectly cured 2 Women. The deceased had no children, but they add 3 children in the mix. These people have never experienced anything but a field of RV, and only their wits have lived for years. They are expert con artists, including children. They now live in a gated community and all must convince the city of belonging. It is always a thing, because in the vicinity, of course, does not belong, but are big drawbacks, either on a computer on and offone. Wayne and Dahlia Malloy (Eddie Izzard and Minnie Driver) are husband and wife and parents of these clusters. Eddie Izzard is a British comedian who is known for playing a man to live by their wits and someone who is not perfect, with a period of one minute. While everyone else is very good, Izzard is excellent and it is impossible to get the show without him. Two seasons not only work for me as Season One was coming, but I watched because Izzardwas so good.

The Riches – Season 1 Overview

Movie DVD

The Riches – Season 1 Specifications

British comedian Eddie Izzard (Glorious, Dressed to Kill brings his raffish charisma to The Riches, a sneaky satirical drama about a family of con artists who lie their way into a wealthy gated community. Wayne and Dahlia Malloy (Izzard and Minnie Driver, Grosse Pointe Blank) are travelers–a kind of American gypsies–who get in trouble with their clan and have to hit the road with their three kids (Shannon Woodward, Noel Fisher, and Aidan Mitchell). When a confrontation with other travelers causes a deadly car accident, the Malloys take over the dead couple’s brand-new home–a mansion bought over the Internet–and assume the lives of Mr. and Mrs. Rich. The premise stretches plausibility, but that’s part of the fun; any successful con game forces the mark to accept something absurd, because why would anyone tell such a preposterous lie? The pleasure of trickery drives the show. Wayne weasels his way into a job as lawyer to an obnoxious real estate developer; Dahlia persuades a private school to admit her kids after the admission deadline; and the kids find their skills serve them well in the surface-obsessed suburban world. But over the course of the thirteen-episode season, the Malloys’ wily architecture of lies grows increasingly precarious, constantly threatened by fear of exposure and vengeful travelers. The final episode builds to a nerve-wracking crisis as someone who actually knows the dead couple comes to visit. Ironically, some of the most compelling moments are flashes of honesty–in an early episode, oldest son Cael realizes that the traveler girl he loves has set him up, and the two stare at each other across a diner table, wordlessly brokenhearted. The entire cast is great–Woodward shines as smart, conflicted daughter Di Di, and Margo Martindale (Paris, je t’aime, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story) routinely steals scenes as the Rich’s unhappy neighbor. But The Riches rests on Izzard’s shoulders; though Driver’s acting chops are more polished (and her Southern accent is more consistent), Izzard captures the soul of a man who lives by his wits, a man who navigates the world with a wink and a stream of beguiling words. The Riches – Season 1 includes a couple of chatty commentaries and flimsy featurettes, but the best extra is a series of short webisodes of Izzard teaching Woodward and Fisher assorted cons; the family chemistry is delightful. –Bret Fetzer

The Pallisers – The Complete Collection Review

As w/The Duchess of Duke Street, this series is visually stunning and makes one forget that you’re actually viewing a DVD and not there in person. The costumes, furniture and landscape are so spectacular that it made me envious of those born in that time period except for the fact that women had virtually no rights back then.

It did take me until nearly halfway through the series before I began to actually like the story and the characters, though, because the acting is so over the top. Dramatic doesn’t even begin to describe it. The lead character, Plantagenet Palliser, or “Planty Pal” as he was sometimes called, as played by Philip Latham was distracting for me at first because, forgive me for this, his voice sounds exactly like the voice of comedian Norm MacDonald! I kept waiting to hear him say “Is my face ever red!” (one of MacDonald’s classic lines in his standup) Once I got past that, however, I was able to enjoy his character. Susan Hampshire is another who grew on me. In the beginning, I found her character, Lady Glencora, to be annoying because Hampshire has a habit of always touching her hands to her abdomen; why, I don’t know but it, too, was distracting. Finally, when I decided to overlook these things and just get into the story, I found myself totally immersed in it and was sad when the series ended.

The series primarily follows the lives of Plantagenet and Glencora but it is divided into several novels all of which stand on their own and add much to the series as a whole. I’ll admit to never having read Trollope until I stumbled upon the Pallisers but now that I’ve seen this marvelous work, I look forward to reading his novels and to viewing more productions of his work.

Highly recommended!

The Pallisers – The Complete Collection Overview

The BBC jewel that became a PBS classic!

“Wonderfully detailed etchings of manners, fashion and Parliamentary maneuvering” —The New York Times

Set in the palatial country houses and grand Mayfair salons of mid-Victorian England, The Pallisers is a sprawling BBC saga of wealth, passion, and power. Based on Anthony Trollope’s six “political” novels—called the finest sequence of fiction ever written about British Parliamentary life—and adapted by contemporary British novelist Simon Raven, the series proved powerfully addictive to television audiences on both sides of the Atlantic.

Starring Emmy®-winner Susan Hampshire as the beautiful and passionate Lady Glencora, whose arranged marriage to rising politician Plantagenet Palliser (Philip Latham) touchingly endures despite being tested by public and private crises. Also starring Derek Jacobi (Cadfael), Penelope Keith (To the Manor Born), Anthony Andrews (Brideshead Revisited), Kate Nichols (Nicholas Nickleby), and Jeremy Irons (Damage).

DVD SPECIAL FEATURES INCLUDE exclusive Susan Hampshire interview, 36-page viewer’s guide, Trollope materials, cast filmographies and Victoriana.

The Pallisers – The Complete Collection Specifications

What would you get if you combined the BBC, six Victorian novels, and a cheesy 1970s soap opera? Well, this! The Pallisers is as lavish in its aristocratic intrigues (political scandal and opportunity, lecherous dukes, palatial country houses, a world where everyone knows their place) as it is in its soap opera aesthetic (characters’ tumultuous struggles for power, money, love). This made-for-television production is a strange blend of exquisite costuming, remarkable sets, and surprisingly good acting on the one hand and video-quality production and an utterly melodramatic script on the other. Definitely pleasurable viewing for all who enjoy watching the period passion, pomp, and politics of upper-class Victorians.

The BBC’s 12-disc, 26-episode serialization of Anthony Trollope’s Palliser novels (1865-1880) introduces Plantagenet Palliser and Lady Glencora, whose politically expedient marriage sets the stage for the rest of the Palliser dynasty’s saga. Future episodes follow Plantagenet Palliser and Lady Glencora’s rise to an even higher social echelon and the challenges that their growing family, including a new generation of Pallisers, must face. These episodes emphasize two family intimates–the ambitious and attractive Phineas Finn (Donal McCann), who divides his energies between politics and romance, and Lizzie Eustace (Sarah Badel), the comely young widow with diamond troubles. The splendid cast also includes Derek Jacobi as the lovelorn Lord Fawn and Penelope Keith as his overbearing sibling, and Brideshead Revisited’s Anthony Andrews (Lord Silverbridge) and Jeremy Irons (Frank Tregear). Special features include a 36-page viewer’s guide, an interview with Susan Hampshire (Lady Glencora), and information on Anthony Trollope, his fiction, and the Trollope Society. –Tara Chace

I still play and I watch the diamond and pearl whenever it comes on. I missed the first few (5) seasons of pokemon on tv, so I started a collection of dvds(this being the first.) The episodes are great but the menu lacks special features and there is no japenese track. I always have to keep the remote in my hand because the theme song comes on twice an episode (and if I want to skip through the team rocket intro that appears in every episode.) The cases of the three dvds feel very flimsy and breakable. The outside cardboard is nice though and you dont get a dvd for its case so thats nothing to complain about. Seeing the episodes in order was great and if you’re a fan of pokemon I suggest that you go to walmart, or any other store, and get these episodes today.

Pokemon Season 1 Box Set – Indigo League Overview

Enjoy the Pokémon story from the beginning! Meet our hero, Ash, in his hometown of Pallet Town where boys and girls are encouraged to begin their Pokémon journeys! Join the Indigo League in this special box set of 26 episodes from Season 1 of Pokémon!

Pokemon Season 1 Box Set – Indigo League Specifications

Pokémon scored an immediate hit when it debuted on American TV in 1995: Adapted from a Gameboy game created by Satoshi Sajiri, the diminutive “pocket monsters” spawned a multibillion dollar franchise on both sides of the Pacific. The initial mania died down after a few years, but the games and the animated series and features have remained popular. Although it’s unabashedly product-based and overly cute at times, Pokémon remains an agreeable children’s entertainment that stresses friendship, perseverance, and good sportsmanship. The first broadcast season introduces the main characters and follows them through first part of the game in its original Red and Blue versions. Aspiring Pokémon trainer Ash Ketchum must establish a bond with Pikachu, the ultra-cute, but initially recalcitrant “electric mouse.” He leaves his home in Pallet Town and quickly befriends fellow-trainers Misty and Brock. As the trio wanders through forests and towns, Ash begins collecting Pokémon and fighting other trainers. (The fights are very tame: Pokémon faint when they’re exhausted, but are never injured or killed.) The three friends also outwit inept comic villains of Team Rocket, Jesse, James, and Meowth. Ash gradually matures through his experiences: In episode 20, he learns self-sacrifice when he allows Butterfree, the first Pokémon he caught and trained, to find a mate and depart for their nesting grounds. The original motto, Pokémon Getto Daze! (Let’s Get Pokémon!) became “Gotta Catch ‘Em All!” and many fans are still trying to do just that, although the initial number of 151 Pokémon, has more than tripled over the years. (Unrated, suitable for all ages: cartoon violence) –Charles Solomon

Buyer Feedback 4.5

Customer Review
I’ve been a user of Braun shavers for over 15 years and have owned about 5 different models. This isn’t to say that the old ones didn’t last… in fact, all but one of them still work. I traded up to better technology as Braun produced it.

But eventually, a tool is nearly perfected. The major leaps of technology start to slow and you find that there’s really not much more to be done, save changing the appearance or marketing aims. The latest Braun 9595 Pulsonic shaver is a beautiful feat of engineering and looks the part for a place in the modern high tech world of today. But… beneath it all, it is really not much different from the 8595 Activator.

The 8595 has a reasonable running noise (slightly more so than the Norelco, but quieter than the 7000 series), effective cutting technology, excellent battery life, and the right balance of weight and grip. The LCD display shows you how long your shave is taking (and retains that, so you can see how long your last shave was), the total number of shaves performed with the unit, how much charge on the battery is left (which goes down to the minute once less than 10 minutes are available–quite accurate, too), and how much longer the shaver needs to be plugged in to achieve a full charge. It’s definitely more useful than the less informative LED lights on lesser models.

Performance wise, the shaver works admirably. You do have to learn how to shave with an electric razor, though, in order to optimize the capability. With a little skill, you can get nearly as close as a blade. I find that I do with mine. And really, getting a shave that close without the danger of nicks and irritations is preferable to me.

One of the other key features of this model is the cleaning station improvement. The older 7000 series had this lock down arm that made the unit more bulky, but even worse an inner tab is prone to breakage after a year of use that makes it impossible to lock down the shaver. The 8000 series solved this design beautifully. And in essence, this is still the same basic cleaning station included with the 9595, aside from a few cosmetic upgrades.

NOTE: This particular unit is the shaver alone–no cleaning station. Although it is not essential to have it (you can indeed clean the razor just fine with a brush), it is a nice benefit. The Braun cleaning solution does indeed scour the blades super clean and leaves a fresh clean smell.

If you are considering the 9595, I’ll tell you what the differences are: The 9595 obviously has an updated appearance. There is also an indicator that tells you when to change the shaving head cassette. Yes, “cassette”, as the foil and cutter block are now molded into one unit. This recommendation is… well, not very accurate. I believe it is based on the shaving count, which is not representative of the total cutting time. If someone takes 2 minutes versus 5 minutes, then the shaving head change indicator will be premature. Also, the foil part may be perfectly fine… it is the cutter block which gets dull over time. On the 8595, you can replace just the cutter block. On “that auction site” you can find a seller who offers that cutter block for . That’s a dramatic difference from the you’ll pay for the “cassette” you have to change on the 9595.

Also, you should know that the next model version, the 8995 360 Complete, is practically identical to the 8595 Activator, except for some very minor cosmetic differences and the “blade change” indicator. Otherwise, it is the same device. In fact, you can interchange the cleaning station and plug between the two models.

So, in my book, the 8595 is the best value shaver available from Braun.
